This 250-shell case is a great way to spend an afternoon at the range with your 12 gauge. These 2-3/4" shells use a light target loading that will perform well against clays at medium range without inflicting excess fatigue on the user's shoulder over extended periods. They're also ideal for helping acclimate a new shooter to firing a shotgun, as the reduced recoil helps prevent a flinch from developing. Each shell in this case fires 1-1/8 ounces of #8 birdshot at a muzzle velocity of 1,165 feet per second. This is more than enough to down small birds or game and break clays; however, it will not penetrate enough to serve well in a self-defense role.
