The Springfield XDS 3.3-inch barrel model is the most popular, for obvious reasons. It stands 6.3 inches long, 4.4 inches tall and 0.9 inches wide, weighing in at 23 ounces with an empty magazine. It chambers 9mm, .40 and .45 ACP. The .45 ACP model is actually 1.5 ounces lighter, oddly enough. Capacity is 7+1, 6+1 or 5+1 - depending on chambering - with a flush-fit magazine, though you can add one round to each with an extended magazine. ...more
Great firearm and very concealable
By Far The Best Conceal Carry Gun Around !!!!!! Very accurate. I was talked into shooting a pistol competition out of town and this was the only gun i had with me. I really like this gun. I’d been wanting one for a few years and just never bought it. I like the non-finger groove grips as I have large hands and the grooves are always too small on most guns. I noticed Springfield has a new model out with grooves and figured I’d better get one of these while they’re still available. Glad I did, it shoots well and carries well. I bought some extended 7 round mags and an extension for the 5 rd. mag. Price is really good and I like the sights. ...more
I shopped around for a sub-compact pistol for cc for quit a while I was looking at the m&p shield for a bit, but it was a double stack and I really wanted something as small as I could get chambered in .45 acp. I saw the springfield xds mod2 and looked at it closely. And decided "what the hell" and bought it. That was a very good decision. This pistol is the same exact size as my m&p shield 9mm. And you would think a .45 in this small of a package might be hard to handle when fired, not true! This thing shoots like a dream. Very good decision to get this gun. rn. ...more
Maybe the best everyday carry gun made to date.I have fired this .45 Xds Mod 2 extensively with zero malfunctions of any kind.The only gripe that I have with this gun is the front sight is .020 wider than the rear sight notch.This problem is easily remedied with the installation of a Dawson front sight for $40.Best price for just about any gun from Bud’s and fast shipping. ...more

I’ve had the original XDs in 45 ACP since it came out. By far the easiest weapon to conceal. It was only fitting to get the 9mm version. I love the original version for the price and simplicity. Especially for my EDC. Buds is always great to deal with
This was my first gun purchase and I love the gun, looks awesome and shoots great, but I’m having issues with the laser attachment. I received it in via FFL local gun dealer (JIMS FIREARMS) and they installed the Viridian laser. After using it about 50 rounds, laser got loose. Brought it back to them they fixed it but it still goes off and on every other time i shoot. I wish it came from factory attached to the gun may have prevent this, I’m not sure . I am now struggling finding a nice holster to complement to laser at the moment. If you know a place please recommend it. Box comes with 7 and 9 rounds but I purchased an 8 round from Springfield with a discount provided for $29. I like it better now. I have been running a Springfield XD Mod2 for several years now. I wanted a weapon that was a little easier to conceal as well as the same safety and performance features I have been used to. This XDS Mod 2 is it. Smaller to conceal and has the same firing characteristics as the XD. I purchased the tritium version for low light capabilities.I am a big fan of the grip safety and the Mod 2 grip. My quals have been on par with the XD. ...more
