Remington 770 Features

The Remington 770 is a series of rifles derived from the 700 with the big change being in the magazine.  Most are available with 22 inch barrels, however shorter and longer versions can easily be sourced.  All of the receivers are drilled and tapped to accept a scope rail, and many of these rifles come with a scope rail already attached and sometimes come with a half-way decent scope.

Remington 770 Capacity

The Remington 770 is chambered in every popular hunting caliber that fits in a short or long action receiver and feeds from a detachable 4 round magazine.

The Remington 770 measures 44 inches long with a 22 inch barrel and has an unloaded weight of 7.2 pounds keeping it on-par for mobility and handling with every other typical deer rifle on the market.  Again, the big advantage is in reloading.

Remington 770 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
Due to this rifle being a derivative of the 700, it has all of the same ergonomics and controls.  The only difference is in its detachable magazine whose release is connected to the floor plate.  Simply reach forward of the floor plate and press the button to drop it.  Since the magazines sit flush, there’s almost no difference in handling when you’re carrying the gun or aiming at your target.

Remington 770 Fit & Finish

The 770 can be found with composite, wood or laminate stocks and their barrels and receivers, along with some other parts, can be stainless steel with a matte finish or they can be blued to a smooth black finish.  The blued guns are more susceptible to rust the newer they are.
