This rifle used to be listed for $429.00. Now it is listed here for $ 589.00, $50 higher than the MSRP on Remington's own web site. Looks like I'll just drive down the street and buy mine.
This is a beautiful looking firearm, and I have put several hundred rounds through it by now. Unfortunately, I%u2019ve never found it to be particularly accurate. Shooting from a stable bench, I%u2019ve never done better than about 2%u201D groups at only 50 yards, and I do much better with other firearms.
Excellent service from Buds. This rifle is magnificent. I have a Marlin 60 and a Ruger 10 22 and this rifle has better craftsmanship than both. Great rifle and super accurate. Extra mags a bit more expensive than the 10 22

Was not sure if this was the best rifle for me ,but after receiving it and of course handling and actually using it have to say it's better ,much better than I had been led to believe by other people . Out of box and 400 rounds later I am very contented as I have complete confidence on its abilities and reliability . Bought for wife for Anniversary 9 years ago. I know, I know, forgot to review...but anyway. The rifle is sleek and sexy, and plenty reliable. She definitely shoots it better than me. To me it's just as reliable as my old 10/22.
Very fine gun, excellent quality. it is a little bit light and has some small kickback but nothing to worry about. Convenient for long walk in the fields or woods hunting small game. Avoid subsonic ammo (22 LR SUB) - not powerful enough for this semi-auto rifle.
Remington 597 is a great gun for the money. It is a full sized well balanced Real live shooter. After about 400 rounds The accuracy is amazing. It's a tack driver. Thanks to Buds guns For the great offering
