Mossberg 100 ATR Features

The Mossberg 100 All-Terrain Rifle (ATR) is a bolt action hunting rifle designed for those long hunting trips where you could run into any environment.  These rifles are built with a rather thin profile 22 inch barrel and a composite stock to keep the overall weight down to make carrying the rifle easier.  This rifle comes with two sections of scope rail allowing you to mount any standard magnified optics.

Mossberg 100 ATR Capacity

The Mossberg 100 ATR is chambered in .308 Winchester (7.62x52mm NATO) and feeds from an internal 4 round magazine.  The feed ramps leading up to the chamber have geometry that ensures flawless feeding to guarantee reliability and prevent double-feeds and other jams.
The 100 ATR measures 42 inches long and has an unloaded weight of 7 pounds putting it on the lighter side of the scale for hunting rifles.  With a scope and ammo typically adding two pounds, the rifle can quickly get heavy.  That said, this rifle is built for durability and easy carry, and is easily slung across your back for a long trek with the use of a simple rifle sling.

Mossberg 100 ATR Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The Mossberg 100 ATR has a very traditional setup that includes a Monte-Carlo style stock with a half-pistol grip and a bolt that sits right over the trigger for an easy transition.  With the composite stock, the rifle has a slightly front-heavy balance, even with such a thin barrel.  The recoil is rather snappy, so they added a rubber butt pad to slightly soften the recoil impulse.

Mossberg 100 ATR Fit & Finish

The receiver and barrel of the Mossberg 100 ATR are made of carbon steel that is powder coated with a matte black finish to provide better weather resistance than bluing or black phosphate coatings.  The stock is made of a high-strength fiberglass reinforced polymer that has a greater wall thickness than typical rifle stocks in order to increase its durability.
