Remington is a premier American gun maker, make no mistake. The "BDL"series shows that they're committed to quality.This rifle is an excellent example of their engineering and craftmanship with longguns. Besides being beautiful, I was delighted with the fit, feel and workmanship that Remington put into it. The trigger came set at about 3 lbs which is good enough for my purposes. Topped with a Leupold 3-9x40 scope, it'll soon go to the range for sighting it. Dollar for dollar it's better out-of-the-box than some other domestic offerings. I'm proud to own it. ...more

Received my Remington 700 BDL in .243 from Bud's a few weeks ago with no problems. Bud's still has everyone else beat when it comes to low prices. With it's blue finish and gloss walnut stock the Remington BDL is one nice looking rifle. It is plenty accurate and the steel sights give it a very traditional look. Nice shooter-much better than I expected given the last few years of Remington. This gun is great at what it’s known for-great trigger awesome accuracy and classic good looks. Bought the Remington 700 BDL in .30-06 and Buds was a pleasure to work with. Shipping was fairly quick too. The fit and finish on this rifle is gorgeous. Very comfortable to shoulder and shoot. I was a little leery at first about purchasing this rifle cause of a lot of negative comments on the web concerning Remington/Marlin products but Remington got it right with this rifle!
