Original product received was not to my expectations. I made a call to buds customer service and they were quick to send out a replacement that met my satisfaction! The staff handled the situation professionally and promptly. I would order again without hesitation! Kudos again to the staff at at buds! GREAT JOB!
Rifle shot Nosler Partitions at 1.5" consistently, which is exactly what you would expect from a rifle in this price range, is more than acceptable for the type of hunting you would do with it, and better than most people can do under normal field conditions anyway. I took it to South Africa as my light light rifle and took three animals (Mtn Reedbuck, Gray Duiker, Ostrich) with it out to 300 yards, without any problem. The barrel heats up quickly, which is to be expected from such a thin profile. That wasn't an issue for me; it's not the type of rifle you shoot in large volume anyway. The weight is also just right for hunting here in the mountains of East Tennessee. ...more
I bought mine from Buds through Gunbroker. Perfect deal with no issues. Everything functioned as it should. The rifle shoots very well and is a great lightweight deer rifle in .308 Win. I replaced the factory trigger with a Timney trigger factory set to 3 pounds even and, it got just a bit better. But the factory x-mark pro trigger worked fine for me as well. The rifle did need a good cleaning out of the box, but I always do that with a new rifle before mounting a scope or shooting it anyway, so that's just not a big issue to me. ...more
Got this rifle last week and topped it with a Leupold 2.5-8X36. This is one sweet, well balanced rig! If there is a blemish on the rifle, I hadn't found it yet. Remington made this one right! So far I've gotten around 1" groups with a couple factory 140 grain loads. Plenty accurate for me but I'm bettin this can be improved with some more break in. I did allow the barrel time to cool between shots as you should with small contoured barrels. Very satisfied with this purchase! Thanks Buds for a very smooth purchase! ...more
