I purchased this rifle at a great price through Buds and was intended to be used as a long range project, but unfortunately I never got around to it as most stuff for 300 RUM is more expensive and I fell on tough times. But I sold it along with all my reloading supplies and boxed ammo to a buddy and I%u2019ve followed along for the build. This is like shooting an M1 Abrams from the shoulder, it definitely needs a brake to be tamed but otherwise the Bell and Carlson stock is not bad from the factory and overall this is a sweet rifle for the money if you are looking into a solid high powered rifle. ...more

I want to thank you all for the prompt shipment. I have seen and reviewed the product. It is absolutely amazing. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet as my gunsmith is still working on it to do the rest of my request. I am super excited about drilling a dime hole at 300 yards. I do have one question though can you ship to Canada ...more
Bought this gun a year ago, built it up to be my tack driver. Folks will ask what caliber I have, tell them it's a .25-06. Look at me funny, tell me how great their Creedmoor is. Then I put a few holes touching on a target, and they are strangely quiet. I took a good bit of time breaking the barrel in and finding a load it likes, put a 20 MOA base and decent scope on it, lots of fun. Not something you want to carry all day, it's a big boy, but when it's time to sit down and go to work - it's ready. ...more
Have a 7mm Mag and 300 RUM = Excellent Guns
I bought the 7mm Magnum and the 300 Remington Ultra Magnum and never shot them, until I did the following things. I do not like the X-Pro triggers and throw them in the garbage and bought the Basix triggers for them. I had the barrels threaded for muzzle brakes. I bedded the stock and 40 moa rail from Nightforce. The gun did not shoot good 100 yards groups. I was getting 2 moa at 100 yards with HSM and other ammo. I fire formed all the brass and only neck sized the reloads. I was shooting .1/4 inch moa at 100 yards on each gun. I was able to shoot both guns at 1 mile and hit an 14 inch group. At 1 mile target: I shot 3 rounds in 20 seconds and hit the target with both guns. Everyone was shocked how well I was shooting with the Remington Long Range guns that I purchased from Cabela's on sale. . ...more
the rifle is very well built and it shoots just as good as it looks. I cleaned the gun as soon as I got home with it and bought 3 different brands of ammo in 3 different bullets weights. i cleaned the gun after every shot for the first 10 even though Remington doesn't have recommend a "break in process" i figured I would do it anyway to be on the safe side. after that I shot 3 shot groups and they all held around .5 MOA no matter which rounds I used (Winchester 175gr, Remington 150gr, Hornady 139gr) all of which were the cheapest I could find just to really put the rifle to the test. After shooting a few groups at 100 yards I decided to try it out at 200 and 300 yards to see how it would perform and it performed flawlessly. I was shooting it off a bipod and I don't claim to be a professional shooter or even above average but with this gun I have no problem hitting my target. with that being said the gun is pretty heavy so it may not be the most comfortable to carry through the woods but at the same time with the extra weight it brings the felt recoil down to about that of a standard 30-06 with a light barrel. my only complaint with the rifle is that a prefer a light trigger and this one does not adjust down as far as I would like, however everything else about the rifle I feel makes up for its lack of trigger adjustment which could easily be fixed by replacing the trigger. ...more
