Best Glocks Ever

Even if you don't work in the firearms industry, you've probably heard of Glock. The brand seemed to exist everywhere, from movies to rap lyrics. It's quite popular in media, and I'm willing to bet, even if you didn't know the name, you've seen and admired it in your favorite movies!

On the other hand, Glocks are one of those pistols that spark discussion among gun enthusiasts. There are several well-known, identifiable, and disputed brands in the gun industry, but none a talked about as much as the Glock series.

Gaston Glock established the company in the early 1960s. Law enforcement was quickly arming themselves with the plastic marvel and its incredible 17-round magazine. The Glock has remained relevant and one of the go-to arms for not just law enforcement but also certified civilian wielders.

So, what's the secret to Glock's longevity?

Whether you like it or not, handguns are cheap and dependable. Both government agencies and citizens are enamored with these two items. Since its introduction to the weapons community, Glock has continued to release new models based on the tried-and-true design.

Glock isn't going anywhere anytime soon, whether it's improving generations or developing new models in other calibers (I'm looking at you, G44). Now, if you're a gun enthusiast and don't own a Glock, I've compiled a well-researched list that will help you make that decision.

Glock 17 (9mm)
So, we had to start with the original, the first of many; The Glock G17, the first handgun manufactured by Glock.

The G17 is a full-size 9mm model that comes in several iterations. The G17 is 8.03 inches in total length, with a barrel length of 4.49 inches. It's 32.28 ounces in weight.

Glock 19 (9mm)
The Glock 19 has a striking resemblance to the G17, albeit on a smaller scale.

The G19 is 7.28 inches long overall and still chambered in 9mm. It has a barrel length of 4.022 inches and a loaded weight of 30.16 ounces.

Glock 21 (.45 ACP)
The G21 is a full-size package that continues the—45 ACP vibe.

The G21 weighs 38.80 ounces when fully loaded, with a barrel length of 4.61 inches and a total length of 8.07 inches.

30SF Glock (.45 ACP)
The SF weighs 33.69 ounces fully loaded, with a barrel length of 3.78 inches and an overall length of 6.97 inches.

The Glock 43/43X Semiautomatic Pistol (9mm)
The G43 has a smaller profile due to its 6-round capacity, but it still has a 9mm chambering.

The G43 is loaded and weighs 20.64 ounces with a 3.41-inch barrel and a 6.26-inch overall length.

Glock 23 (.40 S&W)
The G23 has a magazine capacity of 13 rounds and is chambered in.40 S&W. (though you can undoubtedly spring for an aftermarket mag with up to 22-rounds).

It weighs 34.36 ounces loaded and has a 4.02-inch barrel with a total length of 7.28 inches.

20-caliber Glock (10mm)
The G20 is a full-size model with a total length of 8.07 inches and a capacity of 15 rounds.

The barrel is 4.61 inches long and weighs a total of 39.86 ounces when fully loaded.

Glock 42 (.380 ACP)
The G42 is chambered in.380 ACP, which means it has minimal recoil.

This subcompact is an excellent option with a barrel length of 3.25 inches and an overall 5.94 inches. The loaded weight is 15.87 oz.

Glock 44 (.22 LR)
The G44 has a 4.02-inch barrel and a 7.28-inch overall length, similar to the G19. It weighs 16.40 ounces when loaded with the regular ten rounds.

MOS G48 (9mm)
It's chambered in 9mm and looks a lot like the G19, although it's slimmer thanks to Glock's Slimline design.

The G48 MOS is 1.10 inches wide, compared to 1.26 inches for the standard G19.
